A fugitive from Irvington and two Ocean County men are corralled as they leave a motel in Union County, to  face armed robbery charges related to an early Tuesday holdup on a Lakewood street.

Tyree Hughes, 38, escaped the New Jersey State Correctional Harbor Facility in Newark in October, according to Lakewood police. He is charged along with Fritzley Francois, 29, of Lakewood, and Da'Sean Donaldson, 21, of Jackson.

According to investigators, two men accosted the 19- and 20-year-old victims and forced them to the ground at gunpoint at 12:45 AM on November 9, taking cell phones and other items and tearing off in a silver Mitsubishi Galant.

Detectives, capitalizing on leads developed in a matter of hours, were drawn to the Garden State Motor Lodge in Union, arresting all three without incident, assited by Union Township Police.

Additional charges include receiving stolen property, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.

Hughes, Francois and Donaldson were transported to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River. Bail for Hughes and Francois was set at $150,000 each, and bail for Donaldson at $100,000, all with no option for release on payment of 10 percent.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
