Surveillance operations by the Toms River PD Special Enforcement Team led to the July 14 arrests.

Officers took note of a series of brief visits to Room 141, police said. Brittney Gartner, 22, of Brick was accosted as she departed the hotel. Police said that she was the subject of a $2,500 warrant issued in Trenton, and was holding 16 wax folds of heroin and three syringes.

Curtis Geathers, 30, of Lakewood, as identified as the room's occupant and was wanted on an unrelated $500 warrant in Seaside Heights, police said. Geathers was apprehended as he left the room, along with Jashuawa Reid, 33, of Lakewood.

A search of the room revealed 589 folds of heroin, small amounts of crack cocaine and marijuana, and $2,652, police said.

All three face possession-related charges. Geathers and Reid were held on $50,000 bail each, with no option for release on payment of 10 percent. Gartner was held on $2,500 bail.
