Alan Fratello, 64, was the subject of a $100,000 warrant in Lacey on a charge of eluding. On July 26, Lacey detectives and agents of the U.S. Marshal's Service traced him to the shed on the grounds of a house which they said belonged to a relative, according to Lacey Township Police.

Police contend that on April 26, Fratello refused to stop when flagged down for speeding and other road violations on Lacey Road near Eagleswood Avenue in Forked River.

Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas gave chase, and dropped the pursuit in the interest of public safety.

According to authorities, Fratello is also wanted on warrants in Manalapan and Carlstadt, totalling $3,025. He was placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, in lieu of bail.
