Toms River After School Care enrollment opens

Toms River parents and guardians, whose schedules keep them away from the house when their youngsters finish school for the day, might find a helping hand in Toms River Youth Services when the new term begins.

After-school care begins September 6 at the Youth Services headquarters on North Bay Avenue, adjacent to the police station.

It’s open to students age 5 thorugh 12, in Kindergarten through Grade 5 who attend Hooper Avenue or Walnut Street or North Dover Elementary, Intermediate East, and Intermediate North.

Buses from each of the associated schools take students directly to the program.

Each school day, until 6 PM, youngsters take part in indoor and outdoor activities, safety programs, games including table tennis and pool. The program also entails occasional field trips and provides homework help.

Students should bring their own snacks.
