Toms River man faces lewdness charge

A Toms River man who police say was spotted by three young teen girls as he masturbated in a patch of woods is charged with lewdness in the presence of minors.

John Bosak, 60, was arrested July 1, according to township police.

The girls, age 13 and 14, were biking through the wooded section of Riverwood Park, in the township's North Dover section, police said.

When it became apparent to them that Bosak was in the woods, pants down and in the act, they left their bicycles and told a maintenance worker performing irrigation chores in a nearby neighborhood, police said.

When officers arrived, they found Bosak in a 2014 Hyndai Sonata near the playground, police said. He was issued a summons and released to await a municipal court date.
