Joseph Oleske, 46, is was released on his own recognizance in connection with the dustup that led to a grapple on the ground that required bystanders to break up, according to township police.

As of this morning, Oleske was also listed among the coaches of the Toms River Indians of American Youth Football on the team web page, but sources tell us that he no longer serves as one. He recorded the game on video in the broadcast booth, police said.

Word got to him that the unidentified coach, 45, told the players to turn in their equipment, and that their bad attitudes meant that their season was over, a situation that he later admitted, police said. Oleske ran from the booth, crossed the field and the fur began to fly, police said.

Oleske contended that he wanted to talk it over, but resorted to defending himself against the coach's aggressive stance, police said. He awaits a court date.
