I think we learned a lot from Sandy: what to have in case of emergency, a route of evacuation and not to poo poo what the forecasters are predicting, but what I'm talking about here goes year round: local flooding.

I don't know if it's just me, but I've never seen so much ponding on the side of the road, rivers overflowing, bays running way over and the ocean just tearing down our sea walls as much as we are experiencing now - and that's just with a rain storm.

Now with the threat of Joaquin, we really need to take this seriously.  Always remember the saying:

'Turn Around, Don't Drown'

I just want everyone to be safe, and please don't forget: if your wipers are on, so should your headlights, yes even in a drizzle!
