Two Brick Township men face a number of drug related charges in two separate arrests on Friday, where police discovered copious amounts of Marijuana among other drug items in their possession.

A 23-year old Brick Township man is facing a number of drug related charges following his arrest around 5 pm on Friday where police discovered several bags of marijuana, packaging material, and $260.00 in the possession of Garrett Nilan.

Police executed a search warrant on Friday October 14, in the Lake Riveria section of the township following an investigation into possible drug distribution lasting several weeks.

Nilan is charged with Distribution of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, and was brought to the Ocean County Jail as a result of not being able to post the $25,000 bail.

Almost 5 hours later, members of the Selective Enforcement Team conducted a motor vehicle stop near Brick Boulevard and Cedar Bridge Avenue where they discovered a red back pack in the back of the car filled with over 100 grams of pot, a digital scale, a cell phone and various clothing items.

All five people inside the car initially denied the back pack belonged to them, but after interviewing everyone inside investigators determined it the bag was 18-year old Joseph Boyer's.

Boyer is charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and was brought to the Ocean County Jail as a result of not being able to post the $20,000 bail.
