Theodore J. Vansanten, 32, faces two counts each of heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute and distribution. Jason A. Fiorvante, 28, is charged with possession of suboxone and possession of anabolic steroids.

Fiorvante was released on a summons. Vansanten was transferred to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, with bail set at a full $25,000.

According to information from the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato, the arrests stemmed from a brief, collaborative investigation by the county Special Operations Group, Southern Enforcement Unit, and Lacey Township Police.

Detectives of both agencies assert that Vansanten used the house and a 2012 blue Nissan Sentra for heroin storage and distribution.

Members of both agencies, along with the Ocean County Regional SWAT team, executed the warrants for searches of the house and car on the night of July 22.

Authorities said they recovered heroin, suboxone, steroids and $600 cash, and impounded the car to await forfeiture proceedings. The investigation remains open.

Criminal charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
