VA representatives from the Newark regional office field questions and explain guidelines from 10 AM through 2 PM in the West Park Recreation Center, on West Park Avenue.

They will also help ex-service members file claims on site, and help vets with pending claims learn the status of their applications. No appointments are necessary.

It takes place in the 11th legislative district represented in Trenton by Assembly members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey, both of whom are partnering with the VA in the effort.

“We are so excited to bring this vital service to our Monmouth County veterans,” said Downey. “We urge all our residents to spread the word, invite a veteran you know, and ensure as many people as possible can benefit.”

“Taking care of our veterans has always been one of our highest priorities,” said Houghtaling. “This will be a one-stop shop for veterans seeking assistance, and we hope Monmouth County’s veterans and their families will take advantage of it.”

The center is at 615 West Park Avenue. Find out more by emailing Jennifer Meyers in the VA Newark office, or calling 973-297-3384.
