May 18th, 2013... a date which will live in infamy.  Okay, maybe it's not that dramatic, but this particular day will forever have special significance in my life as this is the day that Kate and I will be getting hitched.

After a lengthy debate regarding the pros and cons between Spring and Fall based on factors like weather, sunsets and flower color, we settled on Spring .  Of course we couldn't just pick any random date without first finding a venue.  After an expansive and sometimes exhausting search, we have decided on... (drum-roll please).... The Mill in Spring Lake Heights.  Although we enjoyed many of the different locations we saw, we knew that this place would be and will be the perfect place for our day.

Even though the date is just under a year and a half away, it already feels like it's coming up fast and there is so much to do.  However, with arguably the hardest decision now made, we can start working on the details.  It's like putting together a giant puzzle: we have finally constructed the outside border and can now begin filling in the middle pieces.  Pretty soon we'll have a good idea of what this puzzle is going to look like.

Before we get to that point though, now is a good time to take a step back, take a deep breath and prepare myself for the hectic months that are ahead of me.
