State Police are calling it a miracle.

Early Saturday, while Pope Francis was in Philadelphia, a New Jersey woman got news a donated kidney was available for her at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, State Police said.

Troopers got a request from the State Department of Health requesting a State Police escort for the organ donor recipient at 11 a.m.

She was escorted from from Berlin, New Jerey to Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, State Police said. New Jersey State Police Sergeant Chris Modarelli met the JeffSTAT ambulance at noon at the patient's home, they said.

From there, he provided an escort over the Ben Franklin Bridge into Philadelphia where he was met by Pennsylvania State Police

"We are glad to report that as a result of some great teamwork with PASP, we were able to get the patient safely to the hospital," State Police wrote in an announcement.

"Who says miracles don't happen?" they asked.
