Witnesses to Stafford head-on crash sought

A grisly Tuesday head-on crash in Manahawkin that landed the drivers in trauma centers remains under investigation today. Police are asking witnesses to step forward.

Both drivers, Manahawkin residents, survived the crash that was reported at  7:54 PM on the between Hull and Breakers Drive. Both were rushed to trauma centers, where their conditions were listed as stable.

Police say the 2002 Nissan Sentra driven by Kayla Clickner, 20, traveling eastbound, was impacted by a 2013 Lexus driven by Maureen Gradisher, 69.

Clickner was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Gradisher was transported to Atlanticare in Atlantic City.

Investigators kept detours in place for about three hours, police said. No summonses have been issued while the probe continues.
