We've covered Brick. We've tackled Howell. Now it's time to take a look at our very own County Seat - Toms River. Here are the top 10 things that a true Toms River native will understand:

You Know Someone From The Little League World Series Championship Team

Or maybe you were on it

1998 was a big year for Toms River. The Toms River East Little League team not only went all the way to Williamsport, PA to play in the Little League World Series, but they went all the way and brought the championship home to Ocean County.

Most of us remember that exciting time, and you might also remember one of the stars of the team - the winning pitcher was a young man by the name of Todd Frazier.

You Have To Specify Which High School You Attended

    ...With a direction

"I went to high school in Toms River" only tells a small part of the story. With three high schools, all designated by direction, most of us locals know which you're talking about when you say "East", "North", or "South".

Your First Summer Job Was On The Seaside Boardwalk

It's almost a rite of passage for Toms River kids - to serve huge pieces of pizza, scoop ice cream, run a game booth, or dole out tokens at one of the many Seaside Heights and Seaside Park restaurants, booths, and arcades.

You Know Who "Miss Liberty" Is

    And you know her car

Every town has their local "celebrities". Those characters who we've all run into, have a story about, and, in our case, marveled at the vehicle of.

For us, it's Sondra Fortunato, also known as "Miss Liberty". If you haven't seen her in one of the many local parades, you've definitely seen her sign covered car driving around the area.

You Used To Live In Dover Township

It feels like Toms River has been Toms River forever, but it was only 10 years ago that Dover Township officially was absorbed by Toms River and became all one town.

And you can still see remaining evidence of Dover Township all over the area - from fire departments to businesses, the name still sticks in a number of places.

You Regularly Field Questions About "Jersey Shore"

Most of us have a love/hate relationship with MTV's "Jersey Shore". Yes, it's brought in lots of tourists who spend lots of money, but it didn't exactly portray the area in the way that we'd have liked.

Even though the show has been off the air for three years now, the most common response I still get when I tell people where I live is, "Snooki!". Sigh.

    You Have A Secret Beach

    And you're not telling!

From Seaside to Point Pleasant, and Long Beach Island, we've got some great beaches. But we also have a lot of tourists that flock to those beaches. You're a true local when you know of a nice, quiet secluded beach, and you're not telling anyone where it is!

    And along those lines...

You Also Know Where To Park

And you're definitely not sharing that secret!

When people flock to our beaches they need somewhere to park, right?

There certainly isn't a shortage of parking in our beach communities, but especially on holiday weekends, it could cost you an arm and a leg to leave your car for a day.

Us locals? We know where to park, a lot of times for free. And guess what? We're not telling!

    You're Still Recovering From Sandy

Whether it's physical property damage or the mental and emotional damage, a lot of us are still recovering from Superstorm Sandy.

When the TV crews and cameras left, we still had a lot of cleaning up to do. And almost 3 1/2 years later, we still are. If you're not from here, you might not recognize the damage that still remains,  but we sure do.

You've Been In The Halloween Parade

We once held the record for the biggest Halloween parade in the world. We're still #2 (and sure to regain the glory soon!).

From scout troops to local businesses, schools, bands, and much more, almost everyone who's from Toms River has been in the Halloween parade in one way or another at some point!
