Anglers Head to Seaside Saturday

Grab the rod and reel, the bait box, and the kids and head to Seaside Heights this Saturday, October 4. A good catch will win them some great prizes.

The 11th annual Fishin' in Seaside Heights (FISH) Tournament gets under way at 10 AM on the oceanfront and continues until 2 PM, with divisions for children age 12 and under and ages 13 to 16.

The Seaside Heights Business Improvement District and Seaside Heights Fishing Club organize the contest and provide the bait, hooks and lures. Club members will offer tips on supplies and rigging and record the tallies.

Organizers encourage the practice of catch-and-release.

Kids who catch the prize winners have a photo opportunity, and awards will be distributed right after the tournament ends. There will also be refreshments.
