Barbara Sole, 68, was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment of a shoulder injury, according to police.

She was walking the travel lane in the Brick Plaza lot at about 12:40 PM. Joseph Fedor, 24, of Garfield, began exiting his parking space in a black, 2008 Ford F250, police said. Sole was sent sprawling to the pavement and ended up with the truck atop her, according to police.

Patrolmen Prendeville and Scelfo, arriving first, rendered first aid to the woman. Also assisting were members of Pioneer Hose, Breton Woods and Laurelton Fire Companies and MONOC paramedics.

Sergeant Neil Pederson and Patrolman Lampiasi of the Traffic Safety Unit are handling the investigation. They can be reached at 732-262-1140.
