Land of Lost Lids

There's an unwritten rule if you give someone food in a bowl you expect the bowl back, but if you give someone food in Tupperware you might as well kiss those babies good bye.

Well that's not my problem, my problem is when I was cleaning out my cabinets and sorting through all of them, I realized I had close to 40 lids and NO bottoms. Included in those were takeout containers and the plastic ones you would get in a deli that maybe potato salad or something like that would come in.

Now, I know when I put them in the dishwasher after I would use them, I put a bottom and a top in there. When I put them away I know I put a bottom and a top in there so tell me, what happened along the way? Where did they go? Why are they missing? It's sorta like the sock thing, two go in the wash but only one comes out. It's one of life's little mystery's that will never be solved.

So, I think what I'm going to do is have a Tupperware/plastic container party. The only difference being no money will exchange hands. You just bring from home what you have and together we will make a set. Better yet here is an idea, how about a website sort of like a match dot com and we can post pictures and look for a mate! Who's in?
