I know there are many who believe far too much attention is paid to sports but I have always said that at its best sports serves as such a positive way to escape the reality of everyday life. The latest example of that would be the Giants unlikely run which has them just one win away from the Super Bowl.
The Giants have upset the Green Bay Packers 37-20 to move onto the NFC Championship game next Sunday against the 49ers in San Francisco at 6:30PM.
When your children are younger life revolves around their daily schedules, going from place-to-place at a frantic pace you long for the days when things will slow down. You look at that calendar on the refrigerator along with school and sports schedules and wonder if you’re a parent or just a taxi driver. You never think long-range but rather just try and get through the challenges each day will bring as you try and juggle schedules to make sure at least one of you will be at each of your children’s must-attend events. I’m working on about 2 ½ hours sleep following an amazing football game last night in which the Giants rallied to stun the Cowboys 37-34 and take control of their own destiny as far as the NFC East is concerned.

There I was standing outside the Marquee Cinema in Toms River yesterday morning at 10:20 and frankly I was a bit embarrassed.
