Witnesses told NJ.com that the man climbed halfway up the tower, which is located off Memorial Parkway, without a harness, and jumped at about 3 p.m. on Monday.

According to the article on NJ.com, Broadway was closed from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue, and Memorial is closed between Garfield and Union avenues. The report states that authorities were also investigating an area near a vacant building on Broadway. A fire department ladder truck was also on the scene. Public Safety Director Jason Roebuck told NJ.com the man landed in the same vacant building as the man who jumped off the tower in April.

"In April, a 60-year-old Elizabeth resident jumped to his death from the top of the tower and fell through the roof of a vacant commercial building on his way down, landing inside of the building," NJ.com reports.

The condition and identity of the victim have not been released. Authorities continue to investigate the situation.
