Respecting Office Boundaries

My personal space in my office centers around my 5 foot by 5 foot cubicle, which I lovingly adorn with personal effects, including my stuffed chihuahua, that I delight in freaking people out and making them think that it's a real dog.

Because of where my cubicle lies, in the center of the fourth floor of our building (which, is fabulous by the way and overlooks Huddy Park in downtown Toms River), it is often a meeting place for visitors to the building.

What I honestly find weird is those folks who sit down at my desk, when there is a perfectly good couch at the end of the hall. It happens more than you think, even sitting on top of my desk.

There's also that time-honored tradition of your food being consumed out of the refrigerator. I saw this great meme the other day that said: "Interesting trend at the office, people putting their names on food. Yesterday, I ate a sandwich named Tim."
