I live in close proximity to a high school, so close the kids cut through my yard to get there.

When we bought our home 23 years ago we were well aware of this.  We knew we would be subjected to the band, bright lights and the roar of the crowd at football games and the cannon going off every time a touchdown was made, but that was OUR decision and ours alone.  The high school was there first, but that is not always the case.

Take this for example: there is a proposed heliport near the Mathis Bridge in Toms River.  Our own Dianne DeOliveira has the full story HERE.

Let's say you've lived in your home for close to 40 years with nothing around you but water and other private homes, pretty much serenity and now a private developer wants to build a heliport practically in your backyard.  This is a completely different story.  This is not county or township, it's private.  How would you feel? Personally if it was me I wouldn't be too happy.

What Do You Think of the Proposed Heliport in Toms River?
