A Tuckerton man caught in a nationwide child pornography investigation might not breathe free air again until at least 2032.

Stanley Zdon III was sentenced to 18 years and three months in a federal prison on October 3, one of eight defendants collared in November 2013 and charged wtih crimes involving sexual exploitation of children.

According to information from Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato's office, Zdon entered into online chats with young boys, convincing them that he was a teenage girl and inducing them to send him nude photos of themselves.

The case stemmed from the nationwide Project Safe Childhood initiative that began in 2006 under the auspices of the U.S. Justice Department.

Members of the High Tech Crime Unit and postal inspectors raided Zdon's East Main Street home on November 5, 2013. They found evidence of more than 300 salacious moving images of children involved in sex acts, uploaded to a porn web site that he created, authorities said

Zdon was charged with distribution of child pornography. Others indicted on November 14, 2013 were Daniel Nolan Devor, 39, of Brunswick, Georgia; John C. Foster, 44, of Tipp City, Ohio; Aung Gaw, aka Michael Gaw, 25, of Fremont, California; Sean Jabbar, 32, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Christopher Jamieson, 30, of Douglasville, Georgia; Andrew J. Korpal, 39, of Granger, Indiana; and Nicholas Sane, 27, of Seattle, Washington.
