Good morning!

66 homicides in Chicago last month. 69 were shot over Memorial Day Weekend, yet a boy and a dead gorilla garnered 54 times more news coverage on networks than did Chicagoland violence. Why? "News" is defined typically by that which is outside of the ordinary. In Chicago, with 243 dead and over 1500 shot through May, a violent weekend is hardly news. Sad, no?
