Mashed Potatoes

Marianne has some great Helpful Hints for the long Holiday Weekend!

  • Keep your sweet potatoes vibrant – add a few slices of lemon to the cooking water!
  • Mashed potatoes too watery? – sprinkle a little bit of instant mashed potatoes into your own and it will gradually thicken!
  • Keep your cheese grater clean – before using, spray with a non-stick spray
  • Skim fat off your soup – drop in an ice cube; the grease and fat will gather by the cube; use a spoon and remove the ice cube with fat

Hope these are useful for you!  Have any other Thanksgiving hints?  Let us know below!
